Beowulf - Seamus Heaney

This is the exact kind of book my dad would read, and then pretend he fully understood. The most translated epic poem written in Old English, the only thing I remember is Grendel and how he almost killed Beowulf! This translation is from the Irish poet Seamus Heaney. Dad approved, it is the (new) definitive editon.
