Loved, loved, loved Girl, Woman, Other by Evaristo, a 2019 co-Booker Prize winner. This one looks to be promising as well, her debut novel that asks 'what if the Atlantic Slave trade had been reversed and Africans had enslaved Europeans?' Oh I love these kinds of historical 'What Ifs', and Evaristo is probably just the person to pull it off.
