Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont - Elizabeth Taylor
New-found favorite! Written in 1971 it feels just as fresh and new as when it came out - The story of a newly widowed woman in a London retirement hotel who meets a young handsome writer. Nuanced and complex with the daily details of English society, in a particular place, at a particular time. Sign me up for that story. A like new copy, and we're so happy to have Taylor's voice being described as 'a lost (and found) treasure.
