Maybe our favorite Baldwin? That's a tough one. Breathtaking, aching, Paris, unrequited love, and Giovanni. It has it all. When I first read it I said, 'oh! so that's now its done.' and I stand by that, as do many. One of Baldwin's masterpieces.
