Thank goodness for Triangle Classics - Retchy’s 1963 novel of life in the ‘urban underworld’ remains a classic of gay fiction, written at a time when publishing such a work would be unthinkable. James Baldwin admired Retchy’s work and that’s pretty much god enough for us as well. Slightly read copy.
