The Faktory

In the late winter of 2021, during those fateful pandemic years, we were presented with the opportunity to purchase a 1200 square foot, two story industrial building in ‘downtown-ish’ Running Springs. We’ve painstakingly created our bookstore inside, while giving space for events and gatherings with like-minded small businesses. We’ve hosted holiday workshops, author readings, book clubs, cocktail hour, and even a ‘Booktoberfest’ celebration complete with the only ‘Wooden Shoe Parade’ that we know of, now an annual event. (check our events calendar!) The space is always changing, come up and check it out!

Open Hours: are (most) Saturdays during the spring and fall seasons, or by appointment, email, text or direct message through our Instagram @brownbagbooks  

Private visits available. We’re happy to show you around if you’re visiting the mountains at a time when we’re not open.
