Flesh - David Szalay

Oh my goodness is this not the best book/story/novel by David Szalay. And we're not the only one's who think this, obviously because it won the damn Booker prize in 2025. We follow István, a young Hungarian boy (when we meet him) into adulthood and the places and faces he encounters. Some kind of alchemy happens when Szalay writes, and we feel both sorry for István, and surprised? Disappointed? Proud? All the feelings at once, don't know how he did it but I'm glad he did. This was a 'Couldn't put it down' novel, top for 2025. Like new copy found in the UK.
