Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont - Elizabeth Taylor

New-found favorite! Written in 1971 it feels just as fresh and new as when it came out - The story of a newly widowed woman in a London retirement hotel who meets a young handsome writer. Nuanced and complex with the daily details of English society, in a particular place, at a particular time. Sign me up for that story! We're happy to hear Taylor's voice being described as 'a lost (and found) treasure. Glad to have another copy of this unearthed classic, and a nice copy found in the UK.
