Gorgeous book! Beautiful story... We like to call this one a 'gateway book' because kids who read this book, or want to, seem to continually come back for more. This  enchanting story, an ode to the invention of film, to growing up, to clocks, to trains, to Paris (among other things), and then there's film based on the book which continues to do the story justice… Just such a wonderful story, an all-around smash hit, and French inspired to boot. *Small repaired tear to cover of dust jacket, see photo.
