Intermezzo - Sally Rooney

Yes I read it, yes I loved it, and yes I don't know One Thing about chess. But I do know about complex human relationships, particularly the 'younger/older sibling dynamic' situation that Intermezzo brings to life so elegantly. Drizzled with that strange concoction of Irish Catholicism and good old fashioned guilt, Rooney delivers another 'love letter to Dublin' which always shows up as another wonderful character. Nice, gently read copy.
