Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit - Jeanette Winterson

So good. A wonderful Bildungsroman, Winterson is in a class by herself. The gay coming of age story of a young woman growing up in a strict religious family, the story mirrors Winterson’s own English youth. Sparse and forever sure of her words, this is the first I read of hers and was hooked. Did I tell you about the time I met Winterson in Paris? That story for another time. Gently read copy with the cool cover.
