There's some pretty important people (writers!), calling this one of the most perfect novels, a masterpiece, etc. The cover is what won me over, and then to dive in... Casares' secret is out, hailing him as instrumental in the promotion of Latin American fiction. It is also an NYRB and you know how we all feel about that collection. Like new.
