Widow Basquiat - Jennifer Clement

Oh to be a fly on the wall of those days... and now we can a little bit. NYC early 80's and the art scene is exploding from the subways up into the streets, literally, with graffiti  artists like our dear Mr. Basquiat making a name for himself amongst the art aficionados. And then we have Ms. Clement, the girlfriend of Jean-Michelle who writes tenderly and honestly of the late great Basquiat. A bit of a cult classic this one, gently read, cool copy.
