Oh dear Anna. She forever changed my way of thinking about waiting for a train in the snow, in Russia. And don't get me started about calvary officers, swoon! Tolstoy himself said it was his 'one true novel' or something to that effect. First published in 1878 said to be one of the greatest pieces of literature ever written. No pressure. It's a doozy, as we all know.
